    Says he was taken off life support Thursday evening, which would be right around now, local time.

    Of course, he's not really dead until CNN says he's dead. Because they'll keep him alive for as long as humanly possible.

    ==========
    PARIS, France (CNN) -- Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has been transferred to another facility to receive treatment more appropriate for his condition, a spokesman for a Paris military hospital said Thursday.

    My guesses:
    1. He's dead.
    2. He's alive, and the transfer was to a retirement home with the facilities for sustaining long-term life support patients.

    my guess - he's dead and they won't anounce it until there's a new leader, and everyone in the PA and France is trying to keep it quiet.
    i mean, the PM from luxembourg said he was dead. then he got a call from the pres of france and what, he changed his mind?

    i think he was there. he announced this as he went to Brussels for some big meeting, and was quickly shushed.
