I wrote the Senator about eight years ago after he carpetbagged his way to power and then fled the state for the more tony pastures of McLean, VA...seems he has downgraded to Herndon since then but I digress. Anyway, when I wrote THEN, his staff sent me the obligatory "Thanks for writing" letter but incorrectly thanked me for supporting him. SUPPORTING him??? I copied my original letter and sent them a nice note pointing out the dangers of illiteracy. I think I probably have a secret service file by now. I fondly call him "Satan" and I mean that...he has NO interest in our region, our lives or our kid's education (my kid is a case in point.) The law, however, in PA, says that you CAN pull your kids and homeschool them through a charter school...and the home district must pay. I, of course, cannot do this since my son is in special ed. I don't have that choice. Sen. Satan on the other hand loves doing this as his wife pops out kid after kid and he can keep her barefoot and pregnant in tony Herndon, VA...his kids probably don't even know how to spell Pennsylvania.
