i wrote that a while ago, and just wanted to share it. it's one of my favorite sentences to have come out of my hand.

one writer to another: that's good stuff. keep phrases like that around in your back pocket. once in a letter, once in a blog post, two, three years later suddenly in the least expected story or poem, there it fits, like th last puzzle piece lost under the couch for way too long.
