    whats the deal with hebrew national? does anybody who really keeps kosher eat that?

    i'm not sure what you mean by 'really keeps kosher'. the answer is simple. do you eat triangle K food? if you rely on that hashhgacha, you would probably eat hhebrew national, as they are certified by triangle K. if you do not, you would not.
    keep in mind this fine point: it's a questions of different Kashruth standards. if you were ashkenazi and keeping Sepharadi standards, i don't know that you would Halachically be keeping Kosher, even though it is a valid form of kashruth. in much the same way, things being how they are, hebrew national fits into kashruth standards somewhere.
